The Opportunity - OO4 Ranger, 3 x Perm opportunities:
Based in Townsville (2x Perm opportunities) or Airlie Beach (1x Perm opportunity), these rewarding Marine Ranger opportunities place you at the heart of the Great Barrier Reef and Marine Parks Region, where no two days are ever the same. One day you could be leading on-water compliance operations; the next, responding to marine wildlife strandings or protecting culturally significant sites.

What You'll Do:
- Support the management of marine and island protected areas through visitor and infrastructure management, natural resource management, and the maintenance of park assets and walking tracks.
- Deliver compliance and conservation outcomes by undertaking patrols, supporting enforcement activities, and promoting adherence to marine zoning, park use, and species protection requirements.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships with Traditional Owners, local communities, tourism operators, volunteers, and partner agencies to enhance environmental stewardship and responsible park use.
- Undertake field-based operations including vessel work, dive and moorings support, field audits, inventory management, and emergency response activities to support the sustainable management of protected areas.

- Strong communicator and relationship builder with the ability to engage effectively with Traditional Owners, community members, tourism operators, volunteers and partner agencies.
