An exciting locum opportunity is available for a Physiotherapist to join our passionate Residential Care Services team in Ingham & Surrounds, QLD. This role is perfect for someone who wants to make a real difference in the quality of life of clients, supported by an innovative and caring aged care provider.
We are looking for a Physiotherapist with experience in the aged care sector who thrives in a dynamic environment. Weekday availability is preferred. As the aged care industry evolves, this is a great chance to contribute to the growth and development of our services while delivering high-quality clinical care.
Here at UPG, you will find a group of physiotherapists who are passionate about delivering exceptional care across multiple health care settings. Broadly, our group works in aged care facilities and in the community across VIC, TAS , NSW, QLD & WA improving the quality of life for thousands of aged care clients. In addition we have a Flagship Studio where we provide Pilates, Yoga and Private Physiotherapy service along with sports physiotherapy services to local clubs. As a member of the UPG team, you will have an incredible opportunity to work across a variety of settings in addition to your Residential Care caseload.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Completing comprehensive assessments, formulating plans and delivering treatment to clients
- Correspondence with residents, families, nursing, medical practitioners, allied health practitioners case managers and equipment suppliers
- Exercise prescription and review, including leading of exercise groups
- Liaising with the broader clinical team and facility management to deliver tailored care plans and assist clients in achieving their goals
- Managing your daily schedule effectively including clinical and non-clinical tasks
- Participating in ongoing Professional Development and developing skills through individual mentoring and team learning events
- Delivering Falls prevention workshops, Manual Handling and other education to staff
- Opportunities to work within Community Services in the region
Qualifications and Skills
- A Bachelor of Physiotherapy OR an equivalent internationally (and APA) recognised qualification
- AHPRA Registration (General Registration)
- Clinical skills to perform comprehensive Assessment, Treatment, Risk Assessments and being able teach junior therapists
- Appropriate working visas
- A National Police Certificate
- NDIS Check/Working with Children Check
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team
