About the Role
We're recruiting for a full-time Finance Manager to join our team in a key role at the heart of our organisation.
This role is for you if you are an experienced hands-on Finance Manager who thrives in a dynamic, purpose-led environment. You'll enjoy rolling up your sleeves to manage the finance function of a fast-paced national charity hiking events organisation, while also contributing strategically to business performance. This position may involve out-of-hours events and activities. You will be notified of this beforehand where possible.
Reporting to the CEO, the Finance Manager will be responsible for:
- End-to-end management of the organisation's finance function, including accounts payable and receivable, month and year end accounting processes and financial reporting.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, financial analysis and performance reporting to support commercial and strategic decision-making.
- Development and management of annual budgets, rolling forecasts and cash flow forecasts and longer term business planning.
- Oversight of payroll operations, employee remuneration policies and workforce planning activities, ensuring compliance with relevant employment obligations.
- Management of financial controls, taxation and regulatory compliance requirements, including relationships with external accountants and advisors.
- Providing financial leadership to the business, partnering with senior management to support strategic planning and commercial decision-making.
About You:
- 10+ years’ experience in finance and accounting roles, including management accounting, budgeting and cash flow management.
- CPA, CA or CIMA qualified, with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Commerce or a related discipline.
- Strong commercial acumen, with demonstrated experience partnering with senior stakeholders to support business decision making,
- Experience operating in a lean, fast-paced environment with a hands on approach and the ability to manage competing priorities as well as occasional operational requirements outside standard business hours.
- Experience with Xero & Microsoft Office 365 (including Power BI) is essential, experience with Funraisin, Stripe, Dext, Shopify would be beneficial.
- A genuine interest in running, hiking and endurance events, demonstrated through participation or event volunteer experience will be highly regarded.
Pay: $130,000.00 – $140,000.00 per year
