We are looking for reliable, caring, and responsible people to join our team as Pet Care Professionals & Pet Sitters. You will visit clients’ homes, walk dogs, feed and look after pets, and provide peace of mind to owners while they are at work or away. This role is perfect for anyone who loves animals and wants flexible work across Sydney.
✅ Key Duties
Dog Walking: 30, 45 or 60-minute walks in safe local parks; maintain control, clean up after pets, and follow safety rules
Drop-In Visits: Arrive at agreed times, provide fresh food and water, clean litter trays/crates, play, groom lightly, and check the pet’s health and wellbeing
Pet Sitting: Stay in the client’s home overnight or for extended periods; continue all care routines
Home Checks: Bring in mail, water plants, secure doors/windows, and keep the home looking lived-in
Communication: Send photos, messages, and updates to owners after every visit or walk
Follow Instructions: Adhere strictly to feeding times, medication, exercise, and any special care requirements
Reporting: Notify the office or owner immediately of any concerns, accidents, or changes in a pet’s behaviour
Requirements
ABN: Valid Australian Business Number OR option to work as an employee on our payroll
Insurance: If working under your own ABN: Minimum $10M Public Liability Insurance + Pet Care / Animal Injury Insurance required. If employed directly: you are fully covered under our business insurance policy
Driver’s Licence: Valid Australian C-Class Driver’s Licence preferred; own reliable, insured vehicle is highly advantageous for travel between suburbs
Background Check: National Police Check is mandatory before starting work
Experience & Attitude: Genuine love for animals, confident handling of different breeds and temperaments, calm under pressure
Other: Reliable, punctual, good communication skills, own smartphone for updates, no pet allergies
Documentation: Proof of ABN and Certificate of Currency for insurance must be provided before your first shift.
Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour
