About the role
We are seeking an experienced hands on Warehouse Manager to join our team at Miami Stainless in beautiful Burleigh, Gold Coast. This is a full-time Mon – Fri role responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of our warehouse facility. As Warehouse Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods, optimising inventory management, and driving continuous improvement across our warehousing operations.
What you'll be doing
- Manage, participate and oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of goods
- Develop and implement best-practice warehousing processes and procedures to maximise productivity and accuracy
- Manage and lead a small warehouse team
- Monitor and analyse warehouse performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with the sales, fabrication, and procurement teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods
- Maintain accurate inventory records and implement effective stock control measures
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
What we're looking for
- Significant experience (5+ years) as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar senior warehousing role
- Strong knowledge of warehousing best practices, inventory management, and logistics operations
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders
- Current forklift licence (mandatory)
- Physically fit, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Experience in the industry would be highly regarded, however not essential
- Reliable, punctual, and highly organised
- Valid Australian driver’s licence essential
- Computer/data entry skills
- Proficient in the use of warehouse management systems and data analysis tools (Netsuite an advantage)
- Familiarity with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations in the warehousing industry
