Our modern specialist dental practice, located in the heart of Orange, is continuing to grow, and we are seeking an enthusiastic, professional, and experienced Dental Assistant & Treatment Coordinator to join our friendly and highly regarded team.

You will work closely with our dental specialists, oral health therapists, and administrative team to deliver an exceptional experience for our patients from their initial consultation through to treatment completion.

About the Role
As a Dental Assistant & Treatment Coordinator, you will play a vital role in both the clinical and administrative aspects of our practice.
Your responsibilities will include:
Clinical Support
- Providing high-quality chairside assistance to dental specialists and therapists.
- Preparing treatment rooms and ensuring equipment and instruments are ready for clinical procedures.
- Maintaining strict infection control standards and sterilisation protocols in accordance with current regulations and best practices.
- Assisting with patient preparation and ensuring their comfort throughout treatment.
- Managing clinical stock and assisting with ordering and inventory control as required.
- Taking accurate and comprehensive clinical notes using practice management software.
Treatment Coordination
- Guiding patients through their treatment journey and ensuring they feel informed and supported.
- Discussing treatment plans, scheduling appointments, and coordinating treatment sequences.
- Liaising with patients regarding treatment timelines, financial arrangements, and follow-up care.
- Supporting clinical efficiency by coordinating appointments and treatment schedules.
- Building strong relationships with patients, their families, and referring practitioners.
Reception & Administrative Support
- Scheduling, confirming, and managing patient appointments.
- Providing exceptional customer service both in person and over the phone.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and correspondence.
- Assisting with general reception and administrative duties as required.
- Supporting communication between clinicians, patients, and referring dental practices.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant, ideally within a specialist or multidisciplinary practice.
- Certificate III in Dental Assisting (highly regarded but not essential for experienced applicants).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine commitment to patient care.
- A self-motivated and proactive approach to work, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
- Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Confidence working with practice management software and maintaining accurate clinical records.
- The ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a busy clinical environment.
- A positive, professional, and team-focused attitude.
- High standards of presentation, professionalism, and integrity.
- Flexibility to work extended clinical hours when required.
- A proactive approach and willingness to contribute to the ongoing success of the practice.
