Untech is on the hunt for a hands-on Laptop & Desktop Processing Technician to join our team. Day to day, you'll be the person who takes machines from "just arrived" to "ready to go" - processing, imaging, testing, and sorting out the small repairs along the way.
What you'll be doing
- Processing incoming laptops and desktops - wiping, cleaning, and prepping units
- Imaging machines and loading operating systems and software
- Testing hardware and components to make sure everything works as it should
- Carrying out small repairs and part swaps (RAM, drives, batteries, screens, keyboards, etc.)
- Grading and sorting units, and keeping accurate records of what's been done
- Keeping the workspace tidy, organized, and running smoothly
What we're looking for
- Hands-on experience processing computers - imaging, testing, and basic repairs
- Confident working inside laptops and desktops and handling components safely
- A good eye for detail and someone who takes pride in doing a job properly
- Reliable, organized, and happy working both solo and as part of a team
- Bonus points for experience with imaging tools and refurbished/second-hand IT
