About the Role
Enhallow Farm Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified Agricultural Technician to support our crop and livestock operations. The role involves technical fieldwork, data collection, monitoring production systems, operating farm machinery, and assisting with animal health, nutrition, and biosecurity programs. This position aligns with ANZSCO 311111 – Agricultural Technician.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct sampling, testing, and data collection for soil, crops, and livestock.
- Monitor crop performance, livestock health, and environmental conditions.
- Operate and maintain agricultural machinery, irrigation systems, and monitoring equipment.
- Assist with livestock nutrition programs, breeding activities, and animal health procedures.
- Support pest, weed, and disease management programs.
- Maintain accurate farm records, reports, and compliance documentation.
- Implement WHS, biosecurity, and environmental management procedures.
- Liaise with agronomists, veterinarians, suppliers, and management.
Skills & Qualifications Required
Mandatory:
- Diploma or higher qualification in Agriculture, Agricultural Science, Agronomy, Animal Science, or a related field (AQF 5+).
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in agricultural or farm operations.
- Strong knowledge of crop and livestock production systems.
- Ability to collect, analyse, and interpret agricultural data.
- Competence in operating farm machinery and agricultural equipment.
- Understanding of WHS, biosecurity, and environmental compliance.
Desirable:
- Experience with precision agriculture technologies.
- Knowledge of Australian farming systems and livestock welfare standards.
- Current driver’s licence.
