In this role, you will:
- Partner with leaders to develop and implement innovative and practical HR strategies that align with business needs and departmental priorities.
- Provide expert advice on employee relations, performance management, recruitment, and organisational change and workforce planning.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with leaders to understand their needs and deliver tailored HR solutions that drive positive outcomes.
- Use workforce data and analytics to identify trends, address challenges, and inform strategic decision-making.
- Deliver training and coaching to leaders to enhance HR capability and support effective people management practices.
- Actively contribute to fostering an inclusive and culturally capable workplace that aligns with the Human Rights Act 2019 and supports cultural connections for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Prepare high-quality correspondence, executive briefs, and submissions on significant HR issues, and represent the department in meetings, conferences, and tribunals, including the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission.
- Collaborate with the broader HR team to promote continuous improvement and deliver best-practice HR services across the department.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR legislation, enterprise agreements, modern awards, policies, and directives to ensure compliance and consistency with Queensland Public Sector standards.
