Assistant Manager - Grand Hotel, Rockdale
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to join the team at The Grand Hotel.
Sitting proudly on Princes Highway and just a short walk from Rockdale Station, we’re known for our no-nonsense approach to good food, good drinks, and good times.

About the Role
Reporting to the Venue Manager, you'll help oversee the day-to-day running of the venue, supporting and motivating the team to deliver consistent, friendly service across the bar and floor. You'll play a key role in maintaining high standards, managing shifts, and ensuring compliance across RSA, WHS and cash handling procedures. Working closely with the management team, you'll help drive a positive culture, build strong relationships with regulars, and ensure Rosehill Hotel remains a genuine local favourite.

Key Responsibilities
As an Assistant Manager, you'll play a critical role in supporting venue performance and leading high-performing teams by:
Delivering sensational hospitality and memorable guest experiences
Supporting the Venue Manager with daily operations and service delivery
Demonstrating strong knowledge of Gaming Operations and compliance
Leading, training and developing team members to raise service standards
Managing compliance, stock control, venue presentation and maintenance
Overseeing rosters in line with business needs
Implementing and monitoring operational systems and procedures
Recruiting, onboarding and upskilling team members
Working closely with senior leaders who share a clear vision and values
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar hospitality leadership role
A natural leadership style grounded in respect and integrity
Strong operational knowledge of running a busy hotel, pub or hospitality venue
Experience coaching, motivating and developing teams
Confidence working with TAB, wagering and gaming operations
Flexibility to work nights, weekends and peak trade periods
A passion for hospitality and a commitment to continuous improvement
A collaborative mindset, believing we achieve more when we're better together
Essential Requirements
Current RSA, RCG and ARCG competency cards
Strong understanding of compliance and operational standards
Ability to maintain and uphold policies, procedures and service expectations
