We are searching for an enthusiastic Kitchen Hand to join our vibrant team at Karvouna Greek Street Food in Black Rock. We are a family owned restaurant and are extremely passionate about delivering not only exceptional food but also service to our customers, who are also part of the family. The right candidate will fill either a part time or full time position.
Our restaurant offers a relaxed, yet fast-paced environment, where you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious greek dishes. Passion for food and hospitality is a must.
What the role includes:
- Preparing and cooking high quality greek dishes for our customers
- Charcoal Rotisserie, Hot Grill & Fryer stations
- Maintaining a clean & organised kitchen environment, adhering to food safety & hygiene standards
- Undertaking general kitchen duties such as food preparation, cleaning & stock management
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience as a kitchen hand / cook in a fast paced environment is preferred but not essential
- A willingness to learn the charcoal and cooking of the gyros meat
- Excellent time management & multi-tasking skills to thrive in a busy kitchen
- A keen eye for detail & a commitment to maintain high quality standards
- Ability to work well as part of a team & contribute to a positive work culture
- A passion for food and hospitality with a strong work ethic
- The ability to take constructive feedback and have a positive attitude
Pay rates are negotiable based on levels of experience.
Pay: $26.44 – $35.96 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week
