Every fridge tells a story. This one is ours — and it’s getting bigger.
Chobani Australia was formed in 2011 following the acquisition of Gippsland Dairy, alongside the Chobani brand. Guided by our belief that food can be a force for good — and our purpose, Good Food For All — we make Chobani and Gippsland Dairy yogurt in Dandenong South, focusing on food that’s delicious, nutritious, natural and accessible.
We’re building the next chapter of growth — investing in major site upgrades and new capability to meet demand and deliver on our aspiration: in every fridge, everywhere, every day.
Chobani is a place for people who like pace and ownership. We keep standards high, back people to stretch, and hire for attitude — if you set goals, deliver, learn fast and keep raising the bar, you’ll feel right at home here.
The Opportunity
This isn’t a traditional supplier quality role.
It’s less about applying standard frameworks and more about building a supplier quality function that is commercially aware, forward-looking and focused on preventing issues before they arise, enabling better decisions across the business.
Reporting to the Head of Quality, this role leads supplier quality across ingredients and packaging, partnering with Procurement, Science & Innovation, Operations and suppliers to drive stronger outcomes across supply chain.
We’ve built a solid foundation. Now we need someone who can take it forward, bringing judgement, clarity and momentum.
Here you will:
- Move beyond a compliance-led mindset and apply strong judgement and business context
- Lead supplier incidents, corrective actions and claims
Navigate both direct and indirect supplier structures, knowing when to influence and when to lead
-
A big part of this role is behavioural.
We’re looking for someone who brings drive but pairs it with judgement. Someone who can influence effectively across the business, build alignment across functions and lead improvements in how teams work together to deliver quality outcomes.
You will strengthen capability cross functionally through coaching, guidance and a focus on addressing root causes to improve long term outcomes.
Your Experience
This role requires someone who can shape how supplier quality is delivered, bringing others on the journey and lift capability through clarity, consistency and strong decision-making.
You’ll bring strong supplier quality or site-based quality experience, ideally within food manufacturing, along with the ability to operate in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment, including:
- Hands-on experience in supplier quality, quality systems or food safety
- A track record managing supplier issues, investigations and corrective actions
- Strong business and commercial judgement, not just technical expertise
- Confidence working across Procurement, Operations and Innovation teams
- Demonstrated ability to improve systems, processes and ways of working to deliver more consistent and scalable quality outcomes
- Confidence to challenge constructively, influence at all levels and drive accountability to achieve the right outcomes
