We are seeking security professionals to join the security team at a leading Australian university located in Banyo in Brisbane. This is a permanent Monday – Friday role, ideal for candidates who enjoy an active on shift and engaging with people in a customer-focused environment.
This role operates Monday to Friday only, offering excellent work-life balance within a professional campus setting.
This is a critical frontline role, requiring an individual who are alert, adaptable, and capable of communicating and responding effectively to incidents and emergencies.
Location: Banyo, Brisbane
Roster: Monday – Friday 1330-2230

Conduct foot patrols across campus facilities.

Maintain a visible security presence and provide customer service support.
-
Respond to incidents, alarms and requests for assistance in real time.

Enforce ACESGroup and Campus policies and safety procedures.
-
Liaise with students, staff, visitors and contractors.
-
Notify and escalate all complaints, occurrences, incidents, emergencies in accordance with the ACU Escalation Procedure.

Maintain accurate logs and incident reports.
-
Communicate with site supervisors, clients, and emergency services as needed.
-
Maintain a safe and secure environment for students, staff, visitors, stakeholders and contractors.

Supporting critical incident and emergency responses and assisting ACU and Security Operation teams with command, control, coordination and communication protocols.

Coordinate and communicate with on-ground personnel, ensuring clear and accurate information flow.

Mail Room Services.

Traffic & Carpark Management.
-
Act as a Warden in accordance with the ACU Emergency Management Plans.

Unarmed Guard and Crowd Controller.
-
QLD Security Licence.
-
Valid First Aid & CPR certification.

Ability to swim (On Campus pool response).

Familiarity with radio, and communication systems.

Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond quickly to incidents.

Basic level computer literacy and report writing skills.

Basic level with Microsoft suite of products including outlook, word and excel.

An understanding of WH&S and the ability to identify & manage risks.
