About Foxleigh Mine:
Foxleigh Mine is located in Queensland’s Bowen Basin coalfield, 12km south of Middlemount and 272km northwest of Rockhampton. The mine was established in 1999 as an open cut operation producing benchmark quality, LV PCI coal for the export market.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Leading Hand to join our Maintenance team and play a key role in leading safe, reliable and efficient maintenance activities across our mining fleet.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this hands-on leadership role is responsible for coordinating and leading maintenance activities on shift across haulage fleet and ancillary equipment. Working closely with Maintenance Supervisors, Planners, Reliability personnel and Operations teams, you will provide day-to-day leadership, technical guidance and support to maintenance personnel while ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with statutory and site requirements. You will be instrumental in supporting equipment availability and reliability through effective maintenance execution, workforce coordination and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Include:

Leading by example and promoting a strong safety culture across maintenance crews

Coordinating and allocating maintenance activities on shift across haulage fleet and ancillary equipment

Supporting the safe and efficient execution of preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance activities

Providing day-to-day leadership, coaching and technical guidance to tradespeople, apprentices and support personnel

Monitoring work quality and ensuring maintenance tasks are completed to the required standard

Identifying and escalating equipment defects, failures, risks and maintenance issues
-
Maintaining accurate maintenance records, work orders and shift handover documentation

Supporting equipment availability and reliability through quality maintenance execution

Working collaboratively with Operations, Planning and Reliability teams to achieve production objectives

Contributing to maintenance improvement initiatives and reliability enhancement opportunities
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
-
Relevant trade qualification (Diesel Fitter, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent)

Demonstrated experience leading maintenance crews within mining, heavy industry or a similar operational environment

Strong experience with heavy mobile equipment (HME), haulage fleets and ancillary equipment

Proven fault-finding, troubleshooting and problem-solving capability

Experience coordinating preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance activities
-
Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
-
Commitment to safety, continuous improvement and quality workmanship

Current Open Driver's Licence

Standard 11 and Health Assessment (or ability to obtain)

S1, S2, S3 and G2 Supervisor Competencies (or ability to obtain)
