About WeAIT
WeAIT is an Australian software and technology business developing digital products for the aged care market. Our SaaS platforms are designed to help providers improve client management, workforce coordination, operational efficiency, compliance, insight and service delivery.
The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead WeAIT through its next stage of commercial and organisational growth. This broad executive role combines business strategy, SaaS product and program leadership, market development, customer growth, financial accountability and people management.
The successful candidate will be technically credible and commercially minded. You do not need to be the primary software architect or developer, but you must be able to govern complex technology decisions, challenge delivery assumptions and translate technical investment into customer and business outcomes.
What you will lead
- Develop and execute WeAIT's business strategy, annual plan, product priorities and go-to-market approach.
- Lead commercial growth, including pricing, sales pipeline, strategic partnerships, customer acquisition and recurring revenue.
- Oversee SaaS product and technology programs from discovery and roadmap planning through development, implementation, adoption and support.
- Provide executive oversight of cloud infrastructure, architecture, data, integrations, cyber security, quality assurance, service reliability and technical debt.
- Build strong relationships with aged care providers and convert market and customer needs into scalable product opportunities.
- Own budgets, forecasts, performance reporting, investment priorities, vendors and operational efficiency within approved delegations.
- Build and lead a high-performing multidisciplinary team across technology, product, delivery, commercial functions and customer success.
- Maintain strong governance across privacy, security, responsible AI, risk, compliance, intellectual property and strategic partner arrangements.
What we are looking for
- Substantial senior leadership experience in SaaS, enterprise software, IT infrastructure, digital products or complex technology transformation.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex software or infrastructure programs from strategy and business case through delivery and measurable benefits.
- Strong commercial capability across business planning, budgets, pricing, contracts, partnerships, customer growth and recurring-revenue models.
- Sound understanding of cloud-based SaaS platforms, software architecture, data and integrations, cyber security, DevOps, quality assurance and service management.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, develop managers, set clear accountability and build a collaborative performance culture.
- Strong market awareness, strategic judgement and the ability to balance customer value, delivery risk, cost, regulatory needs and long-term product sustainability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, including confidence working with Boards, executives, customers, technical specialists and industry partners.
Highly regarded
- Experience in Australian aged care, home care, health, disability or another regulated human-services sector.
- Experience delivering or selling B2B SaaS solutions to aged care or other regulated service providers.
- Knowledge of aged care reform, Support at Home, provider operations, compliance and workforce challenges.
