Northern Star Resources is seeking a highly organised and proactive Human Resources Officer to join our Human Resources team in Kalgoorlie.
This residential opportunity offers flexibility with either a 5:2 roster working 9-hour days or a 5:2/4:3 roster working 10-hour days.
This role is ideal for an experienced administrator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with people, and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work. Supporting our HR and Talent teams, you will play a key role in ensuring administrative processes run smoothly while providing exceptional service to employees, candidates and stakeholders across the business.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Human Resources Officer, you'll be responsible for a variety of administrative and coordination tasks, including:
- Providing day-to-day administrative support to the HR and Talent teams.
- Processing invoices, auditing leave records, and preparing correspondence and documentation.
- Maintaining accurate employee records and databases while ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
- Acting as a first point of contact for employee and candidate enquiries, delivering professional and timely support.
- Assisting with the preparation and distribution of employment-related documentation, including contracts, letters, policies and onboarding materials.
- Coordinating pre-employment requirements and onboarding activities to ensure candidates are site-ready and compliant with company requirements.
- Managing records and filing systems in line with company standards and legislative requirements.
- Supporting a range of HR projects and initiatives as required.

- Proven experience in an administrative, coordination, or support role.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage professionally with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Strong data entry and record management skills with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- A customer-focused mindset with a passion for providing outstanding service.
- Western Australian C Class Manual Driver's Licence.
Desirable
- Experience working within a corporate, mining, recruitment, payroll, HR or shared services environment.
- Exposure to HR, recruitment or workforce management systems.
