About the Role
We’re looking for Pharmacy Technicians to join our friendly team at Slade Pharmacy Berwick, based on site at St John of God Berwick Hospital.
We currently have two part-time opportunities available, offering flexibility across both a fixed-term contract and a permanent position. This is a great opportunity to step into a hospital setting while continuing to grow your skills in a supportive and team-focused environment.
You’ll gain exposure to hospital pharmacy services and work closely with an experienced and welcoming team who provide hands-on training and support. These roles would suit someone who enjoys variety, is open to learning, and is motivated to contribute to high-quality patient care.
Whether you’re looking for the structure of a set roster or some flexibility in your working week, there is an option here to suit.
Roster:
We currently have two part-time positions available:
- 9-month Contract (58 hours per fortnight)
Monday and Wednesday 0800 to 1600
Tuesday and Thursday 0930 to 1730
- Permanent Part-time (approximately 38 hours per fortnight)
Proposed days are Monday, Tuesday and Friday, with flexibility to finalise the roster based on team and candidate needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, dispense and supply medications for hospital inpatients and outpatients
- Assist in processing and maintaining imprest levels, and managing hospital ward stock
- Reconcile and manage prescriptions and patient medication discharge profiles
- Provide support to patients, carers and hospital staff
- Process PBS claims and assist in producing medication profiles to hospital patients on discharge
- Confidently complete administrative and record keeping duties
- Assist with patient account enquiries

St John of God Berwick Hospital provides high-quality healthcare close to home. It has been delivering care to patients in Melbourne’s southeast and regional eastern Victoria since 1939. The hospital offers a wide range of specialties at its 190-bed facility on Kangan Drive in Berwick.
