Join AMP's Wealth Data & Analytics team and play a key role in shaping how Superannuation, Retirement and Platform data is transformed into actionable insights, regulatory reporting and better customer outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of data, technology, governance and business strategy.
In this role, you will partner with business stakeholders, data stewards, architects and technology teams to build trusted data assets, deliver impactful analytics, support regulatory reporting, and improve data quality across AMP's Wealth business.
This is a fixed term contract opportunity, covering for parental leave.
How you’ll make an impact
In this role, you will:
- Helping deliver reliable, assured and timely data that supports better outcomes for AMP’s customers, members, investors and stakeholders.
- Supporting regulatory reporting and business intelligence that enables obligations to be effectively monitored and insights to be used in decision-making.
- Maintaining strong focus on data quality, completeness, accuracy and integrity across product-related data used for customer and member outcomes
- Maintaining the data rules, data model and logic required to deliver regulatory reporting, business intelligence and ad hoc exploratory analysis for Super, Retirement and Platforms.
- Supporting continuous data governance and data delivery capability so obligations can be effectively monitored and insights can be used to deliver better outcomes.
- Helping uplift the breadth, depth and quality of Wealth product-related data in response to business needs and increasing regulatory expectations
- Sourcing new or enhanced internal and external data assets for introduction to the Wealth Data Model.
- Maintaining oversight of data flows from source systems and data models used for regulatory and business reporting.
- Working with data stewards, data domain owners and IT infrastructure teams to remediate data errors and quality issues.
- Orchestrating data rules, tables, reports and Power BI visualisations with the Wealth Reporting Delivery Manager.
- Engaging with SMEs to understand and document the systems and processes that create and maintain data.
- Supporting exploratory analysis requests, data profiling, reconciliation, metadata capture and solution design for integration.
- Identifying and developing controls and integrity checks to ensure ongoing solution quality
What you will bring to the team
Ideally, you will bring the following experiences to this role:
- Experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst or Senior Data Analyst in a complex data environment.
- Experience in superannuation, investments or insurance environments is preferred.
- Experience working in agile delivery environments and contributing to data-related projects and delivery models.
- Proficiency with data profiling and reporting tools, data environments such as Amazon Redshift and data lake platforms, SQL, Power BI, Python and Airflow.
- Experience or familiarity with data governance and metadata tools such as Profisee, Talend Metadata Manager and data modelling tools such as Erwin
- Highly developed data literacy and a strong attention to detail, with a tenacious commitment to accuracy and full understanding.
- Advanced troubleshooting and data analysis capability, including extracting, profiling and reconciling data to assess structure, completeness and quality.
- Strong engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across business, technical and data communities.
- Business analysis skills to document existing processes and data flows, and to capture new requirements clearly.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to manage ambiguity, multiple tasks, conflicting deadlines and tight delivery timeframes
