About You
You are an experienced front end construction lawyer with a minimum of 6 years' experience, bringing a strong track record from private practice or in-house roles within large organisations.
Your Experience & Expertise:
- Demonstrated experience advising on front-end construction, procurement and major project contracts within the energy, resources, infrastructure or construction sectors
- Strong experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex commercial, procurement, engineering, construction and services agreements
- Proven ability to support contracting and procurement functions on a high volume of commercial transactions across multiple business units and project streams
- Experience advising on procurement strategies, tender processes, contract risk allocation and contractor engagement models
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to balance legal risk, commercial objectives and operational requirements
- Experience advising on post-award contract management issues, including contract interpretation, variations, claims management and dispute avoidance strategies
- Ability to provide strategic legal advice on contractual disputes, settlement negotiations and commercial resolution pathways
- Experience supporting major capital projects, including LNG, offshore and onshore construction, drilling, exploration, decommissioning and energy transition projects
- Experience working collaboratively with procurement specialists, contract managers, project teams and senior business stakeholders
