The Commis Chef reports to the Head Chef and is responsible for assisting chefs to provide the finest quality product which is presented in a timely and efficient manner and at all times maintaining a clean and hygienic workstation. Expand your knowledge on dishes working under our Head Chef, meet new people and join our new Culinary team and contribute to our opening success.
A few of your responsibilities will include:
- Assist Head Chef and other culinary team to ensure all meals are served at appropriate times
- Maintain and re-order stock as required
- Ensure all routines are followed in accordance with company policy and procedures
- Strive to minimise food wastage
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is advantageous.
- Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Basic knowledge of cooking methods, food safety, and kitchen equipment.
- Proficient in managing competing priorities and working to deadlines.
- Foundational interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of venue and / or events management and hospitality.

You will be an experienced Commis Chef with prior experience in assisting a chef in a fast-paced environment. You will be passionate about food and providing a mouth-watering experience for our guests and contributing to fun and collaborative team environment.

The salary for this position will range between $75,000 - $85,000.
