Melbourne Land of the Wurundjeri people
CBRE manages a premium portfolio of assets on behalf of IFM Investors, one of Australia's leading institutional landlords. This is a newly elevated national role for someone ready to own the casual mall leasing income stream end to end, from budget and strategy through to sales leadership and partner relationships.
If you have a strong specialty or casual leasing background and a passion for retail and you're ready to step into something with genuine national reach and commercial weight, this is the role.
In this role, you will:
Lead, develop, and recognise a national sales team of four, with direct accountability for budget achievement and team performance
Set and manage annual budgets for the CML stream, with full ownership of NOI reporting and performance tracking
Drive income growth through site and tiering strategy, alternate income optimisation, and incubation of vacant shop opportunities
Build go-to-market collateral and pitch packaged deals to clients, bundling site infrastructure, professional signage, and media options including floor and door decals
Grow and assist to manage vending and national partner relationships, exploring new commercial arrangements and supporting contract execution
Work closely with Centre Managers, Finance, and IFM Investors stakeholders to align operations, reporting, contracts and financial reconciliation
Contribute to platform evolution around booking and invoicing efficiency, and support cross-client opportunities with the wider CBRE retail business where relevant
About You You have come up through specialty or casual mall leasing, ideally within a shopping centre group or large portfolio environment, and you are ready to lead rather than just execute.
Demonstrated experience in casual mall leasing, specialty retail leasing, or a closely related commercial leasing discipline
A natural people leader who can set direction, hold a team accountable, and bring people with you
Sharp commercial instincts with the ability to read a portfolio, identify income opportunities, and translate them into a clear plan
Confident managing a layered stakeholder environment, from centre teams and finance through to national partners and executive decision makers
Ability to act as a change agent and design process and structures around the recently formed team to drive efficiency
Why CBRE?
A senior national role with genuine scope, not a coordinator position with a national title
Work on a high-profile institutional portfolio for a client of the calibre of IFM Investors
The autonomy to build and evolve the function, supported by CBRE's global expertise and platforms
