When you teach at TAFE Queensland
You deliver engaging, high-quality, modern and industry-aligned training that prepares students for the real world of residential and small-scale commercial building design.
While remaining connected to industry to support students to pathway toward low-rise and medium-rise Building Design licensing.
You deliver an outcome focussed student experience through contemporary and person-centred teaching methodologies and philosophies.
About you
You are a qualified industry professional with the following;
CPP50921 Diploma of Building Design (or equivalent / higher qualification)
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent qualification)
A strong background in Residential and/or Commercial Building Design in Australia, with the ability to demonstrate current industry practice.
Strong industry connections and ability to engage partnerships that provide students with meaningful real-world exposure and industry opportunities.
Proficiency in CAD Software (ArchiCAD).
The ability to develop and deliver curriculum, assess student projects and assist students in achieving technical competencies.
A collaborative, team focused approach, with strong communication and mentoring skills.

About the position
Based at TAFE Queensland's modern, state-of-the-art Coomera Campus.
We are offering full-time and part-time fixed-term, as well as casual employment opportunities through to December 2027, with the potential for extension.
Salary range is $92,930 105,218 per annum (gross), plus 12.75% employer superannuation contributions.
17.5% leave loading, paid as lump sum in early December.
Recreation leave and paid Non-Attendance Time for preparation.
