We are currently recruiting for the CCLHD Nursing and Midwifery Casual pool looking to fulfil positions across a 24/7 shift pattern, and flexibility of hours from normal shift patterns. We are recruiting talented enrolled nurses second year and above, across a variety of experience levels to provide care to patient across all our District services.
As a valued team member, casual nursing staff have access to educational support, dedicated intranet page and regular communication from the Nursing and Midwifery Casual Pool Manger and workforce team. There is opportunity to work in preferred areas related to your skill set and also undertake a professional development pathway to increase your knowledge and skills in areas of your interest.
The Enrolled Nurse is an integral part of the nursing team, working under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse to support and care for patients. The Enrolled Nurse undertakes nursing interventions to the level and scope of practice, to support the patient/client to achieve their health and wellbeing goal sand coordinates nursing and health care to facilitate positive health outcomes.
The Enrolled Nurse operates in a collaborative care model, communicating effectively with patients, carers, and other healthcare team members/colleagues regarding nursing care to support outcomes which meet the patient/client needs.
About the Role
As an Enrolled Nurse within our CCLHD, you will play an essential role in delivering safe, person‑centred care to clients with diverse and complex needs. You will:
- Undertake a frontline intake role , including receiving, reviewing and triaging referrals in line with service criteria , completing initial client screening and nursing assessment, identifying clinical risk, urgency and complexity and liaising with referrers and clients to gather additional information where required.
- Provide advocacy, education, and support to clients and carers.
- Deliver evidence‑based care for people with chronic and complex conditions.
- Assist in evaluating client progress and contributing to care planning.
- Work closely with Registered Nurses, GPs, allied health professionals, and other key partners to deliver integrated, coordinated care.
- Educate clients and carers on effective self‑management strategies to enhance long-term health and wellbeing.

About You
You will bring a strong commitment to high-quality community care and a passion for helping people maintain their health, independence, and dignity. You will have:
- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2), including qualifications for medication administration (inc. IV).
- You have to have a minimum of 12 months experience.
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritise and organise your workload effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust.
- A current Australian Driver’s Licence.
