About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Carpenter and Joiner to join our team in Milperra, NSW, specializing in door manufacturing, custom joinery, and specialized timber installation. The successful candidate will be involved in the end-to-end process—from structural design interpretation and precision CNC cutting to on-site installation, fitting, and structural maintenance.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Studying and interpreting technical drawings, architectural blueprints, and job specifications to determine material requirements, dimensions, and installation procedures.
- Selecting, preparing, and cutting timber and composite materials using standard woodworking tools as well as operating CNC machinery for high-precision components and custom door fabrication.
- Measuring, cutting, and assembling timber frames, panelized door systems, wallboard, and structural fixtures.
- Erecting, fitting, and installing interior and exterior timber structures, custom doors, door jams, window frames, and specialized hardware.
- Verifying trueness, plumb, and alignment of installed structures using precise measuring equipment.
- Carrying out inspection, alignment adjustments, defect rectification, and repairs on existing timber doors, frames, and structural fittings.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and fully compliant workplace in accordance with WHS/OHS regulations.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Education & Qualification: AQF Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent qualification) is required.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in carpentry, joinery, and door installation/fabrication.
- Practical proficiency in operating CNC machinery and traditional woodworking power tools.
- Comprehensive knowledge of structural door fitting, alignment, hardware installation, and repair techniques.
- Valid Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work both independently and within a team.

This position is open to Australian Citizens, Australian Permanent Residents, or holders of an appropriate Australian work visa with full work rights.
Pay: $80,000.00 per year
