Your new role:
As an Administration Officer within Switchboard Services, you will help deliver an efficient and professional communications service across Redland Hospital and Bayside Health Services. Key aspects of the role include:
Operate switchboard and telecommunications systems, professionally managing incoming and internal calls and ensuring callers are transferred or redirected accurately and promptly.
Respond calmly and effectively to emergency and security situations, identifying emergency calls and activating the appropriate response codes in line with established procedures and timeframes.
Maintain accurate on-call rosters, databases and information systems while supporting high standards of data integrity and confidentiality.
Contribute to the wider administration function through training new administrative staff and providing support to other areas across Bayside Health Services as required.
About you:

Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team.
Sound organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and maintain service delivery during busy or challenging periods.
Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft programs, together with a strong focus on data accuracy and the effective use of information systems and databases.
Professional integrity and discretion, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and contribute to continuous quality improvement in the workplace.

About Patient Administrative Services
Patient Administrative Services is an element of the wider Corporate Services Division and provides administrative support to most areas of Redland and Wynnum Hospitals, including Wards, Birth Suite, Operating Theatre, Outpatients, Emergency Departments, Allied Health, Switchboard and Front Reception.
