Safety Administrator | Metroll Victoria (Ballarat, Sunshine or Laverton)
Part Time 20 to 24 hours per week - 6 Month Contract
Metroll Victoria is seeking a motivated and detail focused Safety Administrator to join our OHS team on a part time contract basis. This is a great entry level opportunity for someone looking to build a career in workplace health and safety within a supportive and collaborative environment.
About the Role
Reporting to the OHS Manager, this role supports the broader OHS team across the Metroll Victoria business. You will play a key part in maintaining safety documentation, supporting compliance activities, and assisting with contractor management processes. Days are flexible to suit the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities
1. Safety Documentation and Systems

Assist in creating, reviewing and maintaining Safety Operating Procedures

Support development of risk assessments, JSAs and SWMS

Prepare and update toolbox talk materials

Maintain organised and compliant safety records and registers

Upload and manage documentation within the Complyflow safety management system
2. Compliance and Reporting

Monitor and follow up on safety actions and corrective items

Track licences, training, inductions and inspection schedules

Support compliance reporting across multiple sites
3. Safety Support and Communication

Provide administrative support during audits, safety initiatives and incident reviews

Assist with preparing training materials and safety communications

Share updates and reminders across teams and sites
4. Resource and Tool Development

Develop templates, checklists and safety tools

Maintain central safety libraries and ensure document consistency

Support rollout of new safety systems and process improvements
5. Contractor Management Support

Assist with contractor onboarding and verification

Review contractor documentation including insurances, licences and safety records
-
Maintain contractor registers and ensure accurate record keeping

Communicate compliance updates and renewal requirements
About You

Strong administrative and organisational skills

High attention to detail and ability to manage documentation accurately

Confident communicator with the ability to follow up and build working relationships

Experience in safety, compliance or administration is highly recommended
