We're looking for an experienced and driven Project Manager to take ownership of project delivery from contract award through to final handover. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment, leads by example, and knows how to get things done.
What We're Looking For
- Industry experience: A solid background in construction project management, with fencing, civil, or related trades highly regarded
- Delivery focus: A track record of delivering projects on time, on budget, and to specification
- Leadership ability: Confidence managing subcontractors, crews, and suppliers on multiple concurrent projects
- Communication skills: Clear, professional, and proactive — with clients, internal teams, and site staff alike
- Commercial awareness: Understanding of margins, variations, and contract obligations
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the full project lifecycle from contract award through to practical completion and handover
- Programming works, coordinating labour, plant, and materials to meet project milestones
- Liaising with clients, head contractors, consultants, and site supervisors on a daily basis
- Reviewing and managing subcontractor and supplier performance
- Identifying and processing variations in a timely manner
- Conducting site visits and inspections to monitor quality and progress
- Maintaining accurate project documentation including programmes, RFIs, site diaries, and SWMS
- Monitoring project costs and flagging issues early to protect margins
- Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with WHS obligations and site-specific safety requirements
- Supporting the estimating team with constructability advice and post-tender reviews
Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in a Project Management or Senior Site Supervisor role within construction
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Proven experience managing programmes and budgets across multiple projects
- Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation and Safe Work practices
- Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office suite
- Experience with field service or job management platforms (simPRO or similar) advantageous
- Certificate IV or higher in Construction Management (or equivalent experience)
- Current Driver's License
