About the Role:
As a Junior Automation Engineer, you'll play a key role in supporting and advancing the highly automated manufacturing environment at Arnott's Huntingwood site. Reporting to the Automation Manager, you'll work across robotics, control systems, machinery and emerging technologies that drive efficiency, safety, quality and performance across the plant.
This is an exciting opportunity for an Engineering graduate or early-career Automation Engineer looking to develop hands-on experience with leading manufacturing technologies while working alongside experienced engineering and operations teams in a world-class FMCG environment.
What Your Day Looks Like:
Supporting the design and implementation of automation, robotics and control system solutions that improve manufacturing performance.
Assisting in the design and scoping of automation systems, including security, architecture, applications and data management requirements.
Working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Quality and Safety teams to deliver automation projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Testing, installing and commissioning automation equipment, machinery and control systems across the site.
Preparing technical documentation, analysing production data and supporting equipment procurement activities.
Exploring new technologies and helping identify innovative solutions that improve operational efficiency, reliability and safety.
The Ingredients for Success:
Degree qualified in Mechatronic, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Strong interest in automation, robotics and advanced manufacturing technologies.
Practical engineering knowledge across automation, electrical and mechanical systems.
A curious and innovative mindset with the ability to solve problems and challenge traditional ways of working.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders.
Passion for learning and developing expertise in industrial automation and control systems.
