Riverhawks FC, a distinguished youth football club operating in the borough of Redbridge. Hainault Recreation Ground whom contribute positively to the local community. Riverhawks FC has been a vital part of the Redbridge community for the past 15 years and is going through exciting change including: Additional and better-quality pitches, Our very own clubhouse, New facilities. Riverhawks FC is looking for a passionate football coach to join our staff. We are looking for someone who is a great communicator, has a strong work ethic, and has a positive attitude and willing to learn. The successful candidates will get valuable experience and training towards obtaining their Level 1 Coaching Certification, Safe Guarding Children, First Aid and obtain a DBS Certification. This is an excellent voluntary position for someone whom is passionate about the game and an excellent communicator for the youth.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct training sessions with players and parents
- Assist in the development of game plans for the team
- Help with the implementation of the team’s game plan
- Train and coach on specific plays or specific techniques used in practices
- Train students on specific skills during games or other competitions
- Carry out team meetings 2 times a season
- Be available to work some evenings as needed
- Be willing to work weekends (training sessions and games)
- Be willing to learn new techniques and implement them into the team’s training sessions (game play sessions)
- Train students on specific skills during games or other competitions
- Assist in the development of curriculum for lessons, practices, games, etc.
- Attend special events that are scheduled throughout the year (training sessions, tournaments, camps, etc.) and be present at all special events.
Skills:
- Football Knowledge or Trainer; confident with teaching skills and techniques to players in a football environment is preferred.
- Knowledge or Interest of how to structure and conduct training sessions for players.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Outgoing and personable with parents/guardians.
