We are looking for an exceptional person to become a valued and trusted part of our family.
This is much more than a traditional nanny role. We are seeking a mature, proactive and highly organised Nanny & Household Manager who enjoys creating a beautifully run home, preparing healthy meals, and helping a busy family thrive.
You'll support a single father with full-time care of his energetic 8-year-old son while taking ownership of the day-to-day running of the household. From time to time, you'll also assist with organising and preparing our family beach house in Flinders.

The Role
This is a varied and rewarding position combining childcare, household management and cooking.
Childcare
- School drop-offs and pick-ups.
- Assisting with homework and after-school routines.
- Encouraging confidence, independence and healthy habits.
- Active play, basketball and outdoor activities.
- Creating a safe, nurturing and supportive environment.
- Assisting during school holidays.
- Occasional evening or weekend care.
Household Management
You'll take pride in ensuring the home runs smoothly and efficiently by:
- Maintaining a beautifully organised home.
- Light housekeeping and daily household upkeep.
- Laundry, ironing and wardrobe organisation.
- Caring for the laundry and household needs of our independent 20-year-old son who lives at home.
- Grocery shopping and pantry management.
- Monitoring household supplies and restocking essentials.
- Running errands and receiving deliveries.
- Coordinating appointments, tradespeople and service providers.
- Taking initiative and anticipating what needs to be done.
Cooking
Cooking is an important part of this role. You'll confidently:
- Plan and prepare fresh, healthy family meals.
- Shop for groceries and manage the pantry.
- Prepare meals ahead when required.
- Maintain a well-organised kitchen.
- Encourage healthy eating habits.
Holiday Home Support
Our family also enjoys spending time at our beach house in Flinders. From time to time you'll assist by:
- Preparing the home before family visits.
- Restocking pantry and household supplies.
- Coordinating cleaners, maintenance and trades.
- Ensuring the property is beautifully presented.
- Occasionally travelling with the family when required.
This aspect of the role focuses on organisation and property management rather than heavy cleaning.
About You
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping busy families and takes pride in creating an organised, welcoming home.

Essential Requirements
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Previous experience as a Nanny, Household Manager, Family Assistant or similar role.
- Strong cooking skills.
- Current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent references.
- Full Australian working rights.

About Our Family
Dad has full-time care of his wonderful 8-year-old son, who loves basketball, being outdoors and staying active. His independent 20-year-old son also lives at home, with his laundry and general household needs forming part of the household management responsibilities.
We're looking for someone who enjoys bringing order to a busy home, takes initiative without being asked, and values kindness, respect and family.
Hours & Remuneration
- Full-time position.
- Flexibility is essential.
- Occasional evenings and weekends.
- Some travel to Flinders may be required.
- Excellent salary package based on experience.
