Independent Support Worker Contractor – Cranebrook
We are seeking an experienced independent support worker contractor to provide community-based support to a 50-year-old male participant in Cranebrook.
Engagement Tuesdays and Wednesdays
- Approximately 4.5 hours per day
- Contractor rate: $45 per hour
- Immediate commencement available
- Services based in Cranebrook and the surrounding community
About the role
The participant requires straightforward, person-centred assistance with: Attending local appointments
- Community access and participation
- Transport where required
- General day-to-day support in the community
- Supporting independence, choice and dignity
Contractor requirements
Applicants must operate as an independent contractor and have, or be able to provide before commencing:
- Active ABN
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check appropriate to the engagement
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Current unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
- Reliable, registered and appropriately insured vehicle suitable for transporting a participant
- Appropriate public liability and professional indemnity insurance
- Relevant disability/support-work experience
- Good communication skills sufficient to communicate safely and effectively with the participant and relevant parties
- Professional, respectful, reliable and person-centred approach
- Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries and participant confidentiality
- Ability to maintain appropriate records/documentation relating to services provided
- Ability to comply with applicable NDIS requirements, including the NDIS Code of Conduct, participant safeguarding requirements and incident-reporting obligations
The successful contractor will be responsible for maintaining their own ABN, taxation obligations, insurance, licences, checks and other requirements applicable to operating as an independent contractor.

If you do not currently hold the required public liability and professional indemnity insurance, we can provide guidance on obtaining appropriate cover before commencement.
