Join a supportive and high-performing team at InfraBuild Manufacturing as an Operations Team Leader at the Rod Mill in Mayfield. Leading a team of around 20 on a 12-hour rotating shift, you’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of shift operations, including production, planning, and team performance.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll coordinate resources to deliver the rolling schedule while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement. You’ll also play a key role in building team capability and driving a positive, high-performing culture.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and manage shift operations to meet production targets safely and efficiently
- Coordinate resources to deliver the rolling schedule on time and to quality standards
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure procedures are followed
- Coach and develop team members to achieve KPIs
- Ensure work is well planned, prepared, and executed effectively
- Respond to changing operational needs to keep the mill running smoothly
- Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives

To be successful, you will have:
- A trade or engineering background with strong mechanical aptitude
- Proven experience leading teams in a manufacturing or heavy industry environment
- Experience developing and training team members
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience with SAP or similar systems
- Exposure to rolling mill or similar operations and experience working with a unionised workforce will be highly regarded
