About the role
As a Dental Assistant, you'll work closely with Dental Clinicians to deliver high-quality oral health services across our clinics and community settings. You'll be part of a collaborative team committed to providing safe, accessible and person-centred care.
Your day may include:
- Providing chairside assistance during a variety of dental treatments.
- Preparing equipment, instruments and materials for clinical procedures
- Supporting infection prevention and control practices
- Maintaining and processing sterilised instruments within the CSSD
- Assisting with patient records and dental imaging processes
- Promoting good oral health practices and supporting education activities
- Participating in community oral health promotion and outreach programs
- Helping create a welcoming and positive experience for clients accessing care
About you
You'll be someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in delivering quality care and thrives in a team environment.
To be successful, you'll bring:
- Certificate III in Dental Assisting
- Experience working as a Dental Assistant and customer service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- A commitment to safe, high-quality patient care
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy clinic environment
- Confidence using clinical and computer systems
- A collaborative and adaptable approach to work
- Working across sites South Melbourne and Prahran.
Desirable:
- Certificate III in Dental Assisting, particularly for CSSD-focused duties.
