We are seeking a reliable and caring Bus Driver to join our team on a full-time basis, working Monday to Friday, supporting residents across the Sunshine Coast.

About the Role
As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of residents to and from external activities and community outings. You will also play an important part in creating a positive experience for residents, assisting them on and off the bus, supporting outings and helping maintain the vehicle in a clean, safe and functional condition.
This role is ideal for someone who is safety-focused, approachable and enjoys building respectful relationships with older people, families, volunteers and team members.
What You’ll Do
- Safely transport residents to and from external activities, events and outings
- Assist residents on and off the bus, including support with seating, seatbelts and shopping where required
- Maintain a courteous, friendly and professional manner with residents, families and team members
- Keep the bus clean, serviceable and ready for use
- Conduct regular vehicle checks and report maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate vehicle log records, including maintenance and servicing documentation
- Assist recreation and care teams during organised outings and activities when not driving
- Support the planning and research of future outings to enhance resident experiences
- Comply with road safety requirements, Sundale policies, WHS expectations and manual handling procedures
- Work collaboratively with site managers, lifestyle teams, volunteers and other Sundale team members
About You
You will be a dependable and professional driver with a genuine interest in supporting older people to enjoy meaningful experiences in the community.
You will also bring:
- A strong commitment to resident safety and wellbeing
- A friendly, respectful and patient approach
- The ability to build rapport with residents, families and colleagues
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks, priorities and resident needs
- A high standard driving record
- Awareness of WHS and manual handling requirements
Required Qualifications or Certificates
- Current unrestricted Queensland Driver Licence
- Light Rigid, LR, classification as a minimum requirement
- Current Senior First Aid and CPR certificate – or willing to complete
- National Police Check – Sundale will arrange
- Pre-employment medical assessment – Sundale will arrange
