THE ROLE
Reporting to the Manager, Regulatory Operations & Compliance, the role is focused on the oversight and delivery of the team's enforcement and investigatory capabilities, providing local advice to the Social Services Regulator on complex investigations in the event of notifiable or high-risk issues, and liaising with regulated entities where required. This role is expected to have expertise in understanding and applying principles of risk-based regulation relevant to the regulatory activities for which their team is responsible.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
Day-to-day your responsibilities will include:
- Lead and support team members to complete complex, sensitive investigations of regulated entities (both proactive and responsive), negotiate resolution and, where necessary, prepare and present evidence to inform regulatory action.
- Provide advice and guidance to regulated entities on behalf of the SSR in complex matters to support their compliance with regulatory responsibilities.
- Provide advice, recommendations and innovative program options and solutions to SSR management to support continuous improvement of the unit's regulatory approach.
