Alexandra District Health is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Facilities Manager to lead the delivery of safe, efficient, and compliant facilities and asset services across our organisation. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring our physical environment supports high-quality patient care and operational excellence.
About the Role
Reporting to the executive team, the Facilities Manager will oversee the strategic and day-to-day management of infrastructure, assets, and support services. You will play a critical role in maintaining a safe, compliant, and well-functioning healthcare environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities

Facilities & Asset Management:

Lead the planning, maintenance, and lifecycle management of buildings, plant, and equipment to ensure reliability, efficiency, and long-term sustainability.

Compliance, Safety & Risk:
-
Ensure adherence to all relevant legislation, standards, and accreditation requirements. Proactively manage safety systems and risk frameworks to maintain a secure and compliant environment.

Contractor & Service Management:
-
Oversee external contractors and service providers, ensuring high-quality service delivery, value for money, and compliance with contractual and organisational expectations.

Fleet, Security & Access:
-
Manage fleet operations, site security systems, and access control to ensure safety, accountability, and operational efficiency.

Information Technology & Building Systems:
-
Support and coordinate infrastructure-related IT systems and building technologies, including automation, communications, and essential services systems.
About You
-
Proven experience in facilities or asset management, ideally within healthcare or a complex operational environment

Strong knowledge of compliance, safety, and risk management frameworks

Demonstrated ability to manage contractors, budgets, and service agreements

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work collaboratively and drive continuous improvement initiatives
