Full-Time Chef
Chi Mc Cafe & Kitchen is a busy Korean-inspired café and restaurant located in Brisbane CBD. We serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee, Korean fried chicken and a range of modern Asian dishes.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Full-Time Chef to join our kitchen team.
Position Details
- Position: Full-Time Chef
- Location: Brisbane CBD, QLD
- Salary: $76,600 per annum plus superannuation
- Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook and present high-quality Asian-inspired dishes.
- Manage food preparation, portion control and plating standards.
- Assist with menu planning and development.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and comply with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering and reduce food wastage.
- Work efficiently during busy breakfast, lunch and dinner services.
- Support, train and supervise junior kitchen staff when required.
Skills and Experience Required
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or a relevant trade qualification.
- At least two years of full-time experience working as a Chef.
- Experience preparing Asian dishes and fried chicken is highly regarded.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a busy team.
- Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and Saturdays.
- Reliable, organised and able to work well under pressure.
