At Jozo, we pride ourselves on serving our community in a beautifully clean, welcoming environment. The secret to our busy morning rush is a spotless setup, and we are looking for a dedicated early bird to get our space completely ready before the doors open.
The Role
This is an independent, fast-paced role for a highly reliable individual. You will arrive at 5:00 AM sharp to unlock the cafe and execute our daily cleaning and opening checklist. This position requires 3 hours of focused, physical work each morning, with roster options available for 5 to 7 days a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Floor Care: Thorough sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping of all front and back-of-house areas.
- Bathroom Sanitation: Deep cleaning and restocking of 3 customer/staff bathrooms daily.
- Surface & Window Care: Wiping down all dining tables, counters, ledges, and glass windows.
- Physical Setup: Lifting and carrying outdoor/indoor chairs and setting up the seating areas.
- General Maintenance: Watering indoor/outdoor plants and handling rubbish removal from time to time.
What We Need From You
- Flawless Reliability: You are a self-starter who is consistently punctual for a 5:00 AM start.
- Sharp Attention to Detail: You notice the small things and take genuine pride in leaving a space sparkling clean.
- Physical Capability: You are comfortable lifting, bending, stretching, and carrying chairs and cleaning equipment.
- Independence: You can work efficiently on your own without direct supervision to beat the opening clock.
- Experience: Prior cleaning experience is ideal, but not necessary. We are happy to train the right person if you have the right attitude and a strong work ethic!
