BRICKS 4 KIDZ delivers fun, hands-on LEGO® and STEM experiences for children aged 5–12.
We're looking for enthusiastic, reliable Junior Facilitators to join our team and help deliver our school holiday programs across Gympie, the Sunshine Coast, North Brisbane and Redlands.
This is primarily a school holiday role, making it ideal for high school students, university students or anyone looking for flexible seasonal work. Occasional term-time and weekend opportunities may also be available.
About the Role
Working alongside an experienced Lead Facilitator, you'll help deliver engaging LEGO®-based activities and create a fun, safe and positive experience for children.
Your role will include:
- Supporting children with LEGO® builds and activities
- Encouraging participation and positive behaviour
- Engaging with children throughout the program
- Helping manage groups and maintain a safe environment
- Setting up and packing down activities and equipment
- Keeping activity areas organised and clean
- Following program, safety and child protection procedures
- Working positively with Lead Facilitators and the wider team
- Communicating professionally with parents and venue staff
You don't need to be an expert in LEGO® or teaching — we'll provide training and support.
We're Looking For
We're looking for people who are:
- Friendly, enthusiastic and confident around children
- Reliable, punctual and responsible
- Patient, encouraging and willing to get involved
- Comfortable working with children aged 5–12
- Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Willing to learn and take on new responsibilities
Previous experience with children is highly regarded but not essential. Experience in babysitting, coaching, tutoring, OSHC, camps, youth groups, volunteering, teaching, LEGO® or STEM is a bonus.
When & Where
Most work is available during Queensland school holidays, with occasional opportunities during school terms and weekends depending on program demand.
Programs operate across:
Gympie | Sunshine Coast | North Brisbane | Redlands
Reliable transport is highly desirable as programs are delivered at a range of schools, community venues and other locations.
Requirements
- Current Queensland Blue Card, or willingness to obtain one
- Genuine interest in working with children
- Reliable and responsible approach to work
- Willingness to complete required training and induction
- Availability during school holiday periods
Pay
Approximately $23–$37+ per hour for casual weekday work, depending on age and the applicable BRICKS 4 KIDZ pay structure.
Higher rates apply for weekends and some other shifts.
