We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to provide financial insight, reporting, and analysis across our aged care and home care operations.
Position Overview:
As Senior Financial Analyst, you will turn financial and operational data into clear, actionable insight for leadership. You’ll build and run reports, monitor performance against budget, and help the business understand the financial impact of decisions across our Support at Home and aged care services. You’ll work closely with finance, operations, and clinical leaders to connect the numbers to what is actually happening on the ground.

Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting – Build, run, and maintain regular financial and management reports for leadership and operational teams.
- Analysis & Insight – Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities, and translate these into practical recommendations.
- Budgeting & Forecasting – Support the development of budgets and forecasts, and monitor actual performance against them.
- Aged Care Funding Analysis – Model and analyse revenue and costs under the Aged Care Act 2025, including Support at Home classification levels and service categories.
- Systems & Data – Work across the organisation’s finance and operational systems, ensuring data is accurate, reconciled, and reportable.
- Business Partnering – Work alongside operational leaders to understand service delivery, and apply financial analysis to real operational matters and concerns.
- Continuous Improvement – Improve reporting processes, financial controls, and the quality of information available to decision-makers.
What You Bring to the Role:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field (CA/CPA or MBA highly regarded).
- Experience as a financial analyst within the education sector (essential).
- Strong reporting experience, including the ability to build and run financial and operational reports independently (essential).
- Working knowledge of aged care and Support at Home under the Aged Care Act 2025, including funding levels, classifications, and service categories (essential).
- Understanding of the core systems, software, and CRMs commonly used in aged care.
- Hands-on experience with Xero and Power BI (essential).
- A sound grasp of operational matters and the ability to apply financial analysis to real operational issues and concerns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance audiences.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Additional Requirements:
- The right to work unrestricted in Australia (evidence required).
- National Police Check (issued within the last 3 months) or willingness to apply for one.
- NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willingness to apply for one).
