The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Social Worker (Child and Youth Mental Health - Continuing Care Team)
to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team, to provide integration and coordination between different sites or programs
Provide social work specific interventions and assessments including (but not limited too) assessing and intervening with families and systems reflecting the values of the profession
Participate in the identification, development and implementation of quality and service improvement activities from within a social work framework
Provide a comprehensive and flexible mental health service to children, young people and their family/carers including assessment, intervention, treatment planning and evaluation, training, education and research in accordance with professional, ethical, and National Mental Health standards
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
A tertiary degree in Social Work
Eligible for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Driver Licence
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Base salary ranging from $79 051 - $116 189 per annum
