The Role
SRG Global Integrated Services is seeking Sheet Metal Workers for long term and ongoing full-time opportunities in the Southwest of WA. The positions will be based out of SRG Global’s Southwest WA operational base in Bunbury, and work across a number of local sites.
This is an opportunity for motivated, goal-driven, and enthusiastic scaffolders to join our Southwest team in a full-time position, working across a number of local sites. All successful applicants would reside locally in the Southwest (these are not fly-in-fly-out ‘FIFO’ positions).
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret detailed drawings and specifications
Pattern development
Material take-off
Proficient in the safe operations of workshop machinery such as Guillotines, Power Swages, Pan Brakes and De-coilers
Fabrication of sheetmetal components such as bends, tee’s, valve boxes and reducers
Workshop and site fabrication
Site installation
Ensure correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) on site at all times
Undertake tasks as directed by the Supervisor;
Liaise with site Supervisor, as required, throughout the day to review workload for the following day;
Maintenance of equipment as required;
Ongoing review of all systems and operations to ensure maximum efficiency and adherence to all Client and SRG Global Management, Systems and Legislative Requirements;
Maintain accurate records and documentation;
At all times use and maintain personal protective clothing and equipment (PPE) relevant to your role and task being undertaken;
Perform all other general duties as directed by the site supervisor, within your level of competence.
The successful applicant will ideally have:
Current WA Driver’s Licence
Certificate III in Engineering – Light Fabrication
Working Safely at Heights
Confined Spaces Entry card
Working Safely at Heights and Confined Space (within 2 years)
Construction induction card (White or Blue card)
Ability to pass site medical testing requirements
Previous experience in a similar role
Strong communication and people skills
Strong computer and systems skills and knowledge
