Category 5 Labour Management is recruiting experienced Industrial Blasters & Protective Coatings Painters for ongoing Defence and marine projects in Henderson.
Working on Royal Australian Navy vessels, submarines and critical marine infrastructure, you’ll carry out abrasive blasting, surface preparation and application of industrial protective coating systems to strict Defence quality standards.
This role suits experienced industrial painters looking for long-term local work with a leading engineering and asset maintenance contractor.

Essential Requirements To be considered you must have:
- Australian Citizenship
- Industrial abrasive blasting and protective coatings experience
- Current White Card
- Current Working at Heights
- Current Confined Space
- Current National Police Clearance
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen

Your Responsibilities:
- Abrasive blasting and surface preparation
- Apply industrial protective coating systems
- Inspect completed work to specification
- Operate blasting and painting equipment safely
- Work in confined spaces and at heights
- Maintain Defence quality and safety standards
Highly Regarded:
- Defence or naval maintenance experience
- Marine protective coatings experience
- NACE Level 1 or 2
- Certificate III Surface Preparation & Coating Application
- MSIC
- Forklift or EWP
- UHP Water Jetting
