About the opportunity
Are you motivated by getting behind the wheel of one of our iconic blue trucks to deliver for customers? As our MR Truck Driver team member in our StarTrack Wingfield facility, you’ll be the face of our trusted business, at the heart of your community and connecting businesses with their customers, and communities with each other day-in, day-out. You might not be working from home, but you’ll be on the road as a staple of your community, and it doesn’t get better than that!
This is a full time permanent opportunity offering job security in a friendly, motivated team. Working Monday - Friday, this role offers life balance as any overtime is carried out during the week - the weekends are yours - a rarity for a truck driver! Presently this role pays $30.81 per hour plus 12% super and entitlements. Overtime of up to 2.5hrs a day generally is required and pays at time and a half.

Safely loading your truck with freight for your deliveries with teammates at the facility

Completing your own daily vehicle safety check

Driving our modern trucks between our customers - residential, commercial and industrial, for deliveries and pick-ups

Providing an outstanding customer experience on behalf of AusPost Group

Returning to our facility to unload pick-ups
About you
You’re a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable personality who loves autonomy just as much as interacting with others and being a team player. You’re passionate about making a difference in the community.
You’ll also need to
-
Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
-
Hold a MR vehicle license
-
Be fit enough to load and unload freight items of all different shapes, sizes and weights, frequently in and out of a truck
-
Strong planning skills
-
Be safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility

Have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills
-
You will need to meet our safe working load limit of weighing 130kgs or less
-
Be prepared to provide a driving history report, undergo a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening and national police checks.
