Position Summary
The Building Associate provides technical, administrative, and project coordination support
to the Construction Manager and project teams. The role assists with project planning,
procurement, documentation, quality assurance, and site coordination activities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing project schedules, construction programs, and work plans.
- Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.
- Coordinate communication between clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and site personnel.
- Monitor project progress and maintain project records.
- Assist with procurement of materials and subcontractor engagement.
- Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks.
- Prepare progress reports, variation documentation, and project correspondence.
- Assist in cost monitoring and budget tracking.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, building regulations, and safety requirements.
- Support the Construction Manager in achieving project objectives and delivery milestones.
Qualifications:
- A relevant AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma (or equivalent overseas qualification).
- Alternatively, at least 3 years of relevant professional experience may substitute for the formal qualification.
Skills & Requirements:
- Strong technical knowledge of building regulations, National Construction Code (NCC), and safety standards.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural plans, engineering specifications, and construction contracts.
- Excellent project coordination, budget monitoring, and estimation skills.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively between clients, subcontractors, and site managers.
Pay: $83,500.00 – $123,453.71 per year
