Category 5 Labour Management is recruiting Mechanical Fitters, Industrial Electricians and Plumbers for a leading Australian engineering and environmental solutions provider based in Forrestfield.
Our client designs and manufactures specialised water and wastewater treatment systems for major mining and infrastructure projects across Australia. With work secured through to Christmas and beyond, they are seeking skilled tradespeople to join their growing workshop team.
Successful candidates will commence on an initial two-week trial, with genuine ongoing opportunities for high performers.
Working within a modern workshop, you’ll assist in the manufacture and assembly of custom-built water treatment systems, process skids and associated mechanical and electrical equipment.
Depending on your trade, responsibilities may include:
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings (essential)
- Mechanical assembly of pumps, pipework and process equipment
- Installation of valves, fittings and instrumentation
- Electrical wiring and equipment assembly
- Assisting with fabrication and skid construction
- Supporting the Workshop Manager with general assembly and fabrication tasks
- Maintaining high safety and quality standards throughout production
Essential Requirements
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Industrial Electrician or Plumber
- Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings
- Previous workshop, fabrication or industrial construction experience
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Construction Induction Card
- Ability to Pass Pre-employment medical
- Strong commitment to safety and quality
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Own tools preferred (tools available if required)
Desirable
- Water treatment, process plant or industrial manufacturing experience
- Pump and piping installation experience
- Skid-mounted equipment assembly
- Forklift Licence
- Working at Heights
- Confined Space
- Dogging or Rigging
