Full-time, permanent role Production Operator - Liquids

The Role
Our Tatura site is an icon in the region, well known around the world for its quality dairy products. As well as being the country’s largest producer of cream cheese, it also produces infant formula, nutritional lactoferrin, various milk powders, plus our famous single serve butter.
As a Production Operator, you will work across key production stages including separation, evaporation, drying, blending and packing to deliver high-quality dairy products. You will operate specialised equipment, follow strict safety and quality procedures, and maintain production standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The incumbent must be available on 12-hour shifts across days and nights a to support 24/7 factory operation (i.e. weekends, public holidays, etc).
Day shift: 6AM to 6PM
Night shift: 6PM to 6AM
Responsibilities
Operate processing and packing equipment (e.g. separation, evaporation, spray drying, blending) in line with procedures and specifications.
Monitor, record and document process variables and manufacturing data using authorised logs, ensuring accurate and compliant reporting.
Maintain product quality and ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), including hygiene, sanitation, and safe work practices across equipment and the production environment.
Collaborate with team members and other stakeholders to support training and continuous improvement.
About you
Experience in manufacturing or plant operations, preferably within food or dairy processing
Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Strong commitment to safety and follow OH&S procedures and guidelines
Basic computer skills, including data entry and use of production systems
Effective communication skills and ability to work within a team environment
