Where you'll be working
Based at Westmead Hospital, you’ll join the Health Information and Records Service within Western Sydney Local Health District. You’ll work in a professional, service-focused environment where accuracy, confidentiality and timely access to health information directly contribute to quality patient care.

Be part of a team supporting clinicians, patients and external stakeholders

Work across health information, medical records and medico-legal processes

Support transcription services used across WSLHD hospital sites

Collaborate with clinicians and the District Release of Information and Transcription team

Contribute to a culture focused on patient-centred service, accuracy and continuous improvement
What you'll be doing
In this varied administrative role, you’ll combine strong customer service and records management skills with attention to detail to support the efficient flow of clinical documentation and information.

Manage reception enquiries and provide professional assistance to patients and other stakeholders

Support clinicians with access to and use of LHD transcription software

Process, quality-check and distribute dictated clinical correspondence, including letters and operation reports

Maintain accurate electronic medical records by importing transcribed documentation and following up outstanding dictation

Record workload data, respond to workflow issues and support medico-legal and release-of-information enquiries
