Casual Support Worker – Terrigal (First Nations Applicants Encouraged)
Australian Support Workers Sydney is seeking a reliable, energetic Casual Disability Support Worker for an immediate role in Terrigal. We are looking for someone proactive and confident stepping into a rewarding role supporting a local family.
A welcoming family is seeking a worker in their 20s to provide personal care and assistance to two young people.
About the Role:
You will provide regular, ongoing support to two young clients in Terrigal, with additional ad-hoc shifts available across the region.
- Location: Terrigal.
- Schedule: 2 shifts per week.
- Hours: Between school hours (10:00 AM – 2:00 PM).
- Immediate Start: Assistance is required right away.
- Holiday Care: Ability to provide extra assistance during school holidays is highly sought after.
Ideal Candidate
- Cultural Background: First Nations people are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Age Profile: The family is specifically seeking a worker in their 20s to relate well to the young people.
- Reliability: Confident in delivering engaging care during school hours and holiday periods.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 1+ year experience in youth disability support or childcare.
- Proactive energy and ability to build great rapport with young people.
- Certificate III or higher in Individual Support, Disability, or related field.
- Completed mandatory NDIS worker requirements and current Police Check.
- Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
