This position will see you providing support and assistance to patients and their families on our Rehabilitation ward, caring for patients from different specialties.
Your responsibilities will include:

Admission and discharge processes to ensure appropriate bed management and utilisation

Managing incoming and outgoing calls to the ward

Provide timely and accurate information to queries by patients, visitors and other staff and departments

Work alongside medical staff, colleagues, patients and visitors to ensure a smooth hospital experience for patients

Compilation and management of patient admission papers , clinical notes and Rehabilitation specific paperwork’s
About You

Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service focus

Intermediate-advanced skills utilising the Microsoft office suite with ability to maintain data entry accuracy.

High level time management and organisational skills

Certificate in Medical terminology highly regarded

A professional and personable disposition

Ability to work within a team environment and multitask

Willingness to learn and the ability to grasp concepts with ease

Previous experience in a hospital administration position or other medical secretary position desired but not essential

Previous experience using Patient Information Systems (i.e. Meditech)

Previous experience using hospital mainframe systems (Desirable)
On the job training will be provided for the successful candidate
Remuneration
On offer is a base hourly rate + superannuation based on qualifications and experience. Exclusive of penalties and allowances.
